Everything about Porsche is designed and optimized for racing. When it comes to modern super cars, three cars come to mind: the 959, Carrera GT and the soon to come 918 Spyder. The Porsche Carrera GT was based on a racecar-type chassis and is the last analog Porsche Super Car. The CGT ramped things up a notch from previous road Porsches by including a racing-clutch, a V-10 Engine and a top speed of over 200 mph.
With only a little over 1200 produced (before ceasing in 2005) we yet again had the pleasure of having one of these beasts roll into our facility for a full new car protection package.
This is a perfect example of the poor craftsmanship ubiquitous throughout the industry. By not applying the film completely over the panels, as in this installation done by another shop, now creates a visible seam otherwise not found on the panels.
This slick model delete pays homage to the CGT prototype which only features the GT.
For the windows Hugo apply 90% 3M Crystalline Window Tint. This allows up to 90% of light to come through for clear visibility but blocks up to 97% of the sun’s harmful infrared light keeping the vehicle cool and protected while maintaining the car’s natural look.
ClearPlex Windsheild Protection Film (the first and only optically clear film for automotive windshields) is applied which will protect the windshield from rock chips and other small debris.
After installing the clear bra we roll the Carrera GT into our detail facility to remove the carbon fiber seats, which have a serious case of oxidation.
After a thorough Interior Detail, not a spec of dirt or grime is to be found.
This beauty/beast is now fully protected for the road that lies ahead.
